In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Rapping over table-top breakbeats in JSS3 at Lumen Christi was our thing. Before lessons, we’d turn desks into drum machines and vibe out. We always got in trouble, but it was worth it—that’s really where my love for music began. Well, that & Church.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J Hus, Big Conspiracy Kendrick Lamar, DAMN. Smino, blkswn I can't pick a top 3 all-time to save my life. However, I religiously listened to these 3 albums for extended periods when they were released. 'DAMN' helped me through tough times, 'Big Conspiracy' was a MOMENT & 'blkswn' was a source of growth.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dreams Never Die” This song is so special because it is scarily authentic. It is extremely different from what I started out releasing, but it shows another side of me and tells a story we can all resonate with on some level. Above all, the message itself rings true.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It was probably when 'Complacent?!#' went mini viral. We had no clue it would happen, we just thought that it was hard. Seeing how a song we made on a whim with no care performed across the pond was a breakthrough. It also taught me valuable lessons.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The list is endless. My past self would be in awe, but my future self knows there’s more to achieve—crossing the pond, touring the world, collaborating with great artists, giving back to those who got me here, and, above all, making great music.
