In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was about 5 years old, I heard Slick Rick's "Children's Story" for the first time. I was young so I didn't really understand the impact of the record and actually laughed right before he said "this aint funny..." I was shook.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kanye West, The College Dropout Panic! At the Disco, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out Talib Kweli, The Beautiful Struggle The 3 albums came out around the same time and I'd say they're a big part of my personality. All favorites for me. Mostly no skips on these.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “GOAT (feat. Sean Patrick)” On it's face this song is really braggy and kinda even sounds arrogant. But in reality, I wrote it at one of the lowest points in my music career. It reminds me that even at low points, I should remember why making music is special to me.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first few times on tour were incredibly memorable. The best part about it is dreaming of it and then doing it. It's really sleeping in a bunch of Walmart parking lots and days of not showering but the fact that you're out there is everything.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Touring's been great, but I've always been an opener on the road. I really want to experience going out and playing music and hearing the crowd sing the words. I think that would be an incredible moment I haven't experienced yet.
