Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Luis: A friend of my parents gifted me a tambourine. He was a great drummer so this tambourine had a bit of an iconic status to me. Like a sacred object. Gui: Receiving a violin from my godmother & starting lessons just before I turned six.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Deftones, White Pony Four Tet, New Energy Stevie Wonder, Innervisions Remastered Innervisions: Where I first found a connection between my love for electronica, soul, 70s studio recordings & great SONGS. New Energy: It always felt like he was sharing such a personal part. Thats something I constantly think about when making music
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Inner Child” This track marks the true beginning of our musical collaboration, even though we had recorded before. Its theme, colors & production perfectly represent what we would explore thereafter. It was a perfect translation of what we had envisioned.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Luis: A solo Coliseu dos Recreios show in Lisbon, which is a "rite of passage" show for Portuguese artists. Gui: Being part of the Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal in 2016. A beautiful experience where I met incredibly talented creative minds.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Luis: My bucket list is too big to list. Still, if I died today, I'd die a happy & fulfilled artist. Gui: Theres so much left to do, & that’s the beauty of it all. Performing our 360º live show in Madison Square Garden is at the top of that list.
