First known as a key collaborator of the Beastie Boys, Money Mark has since become a respected keyboardist and producer, working with acts as varied as Beck, Jack Johnson, and former Can singer Damo Suzuki. Born Mark Ramos-Nishita, Money Mark was a studio musician and part-time contractor when he was hired to refurbish the Beastie Boys' rehearsal studio in the early 1990s, eventually becoming a semi-official fourth member of the band from 1992 to 1995. His solo career began with 1995's MARK'S KEYBOARD REPAIR, and he has worked steadily as a studio musician, producer, and remixer as well.
Money Mark has also released music as a member of The Atomic Bomb Band, Omar Rodríguez-López Quintet, Lord Newborn & The Magic Skulls, Bottletop Band, Les Yper-Sound, Sprout House Band, and Mangchi.
