An award-winning actress and model with an extensive film and television résumé, Japan’s Mone Kamishiraishi is also known for her gentle voice in the realm of pop music.
∙ Beating out 800 other hopefuls, Kamishiraishi landed the lead role in the 2014 musical comedy Lady Maiko, and she made her singing debut on the film’s soundtrack.
∙ Her first EP, 2016’s Chouchou—which featured her renditions of songs from films, TV shows, and musicals—remained on the Japanese charts for 21 weeks.
∙ And..., her debut full-length, was released in 2017 and spent a few weeks on the charts, as did her sophomore LP, 2020’s note, which went all the way to No. 3.
∙ She has recorded theme songs for several films and anime TV series, such as Rin-ne, Major 2nd, L♥DK: Two Loves Under One Roof, and 7Seeds.
