Mickey Singh is an Indo-American songwriter and producer noted for blending Punjabi music and American hip-hop in a style known as “urban desi.”
∙ Inspired by the music of Indian singer and composer Sonu Nigam, Singh began playing keyboards and composing his own songs at age five.
∙ His music first gained attention in 2012, when he stirred up massive online buzz with his Punjabi remix of Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake,” featuring vocals from Amar Sandhu.
