In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is writing my first song. The song was not great (lyrically or instrumentally lol). Although it wasn't good, it was mine. It was all about the feeling. How cathartic it was to me. Songwriting is a form of therapy.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Adele, 21 Beyoncé, BEYONCÉ Taylor Swift, Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition) 21 - Adele is the Queen of ballads. Her voice is a force and her career inspires me greatly. Midnights - A lyrical masterpiece. Taylor Swift is an eloquent wordsmith. Her work deserves to be studied. Beyoncé - It's Beyoncé. She stopped the world.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Honest” This song is my baby, it validated me so much as a songwriter. This piece made me think "Michelle, you have to do this for real. Music is meant for you." I wrote this song in 2018 and I could not let it go. It's honest, it's raw. 10/10, I'm a fan.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting accepted into the Remix Project round 18.0. I'm a huge fan of Jessie Reyez, Savannah Re, and Idman. It's wild entering the same community they're part of. Remix does so much for artists in the city and I'm thankful they welcomed me so openly.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Lord, I have so much left to do. As an emerging artist, my bucket list is pages long. I want to connect with my community and I hope I get to do that in all mediums. I want to do things I can't even dream of.
