Formed in Toronto in 1998, the alternative-rock band Metric has received multiple Canadian music industry honors, including two Juno Awards for Alternative Album of the Year.
∙ The group performed their pulsating New Wave single “Dead Disco” in the acclaimed 2004 French film Clean.

∙ Rock legend Lou Reed sang the chorus on the bubbly 2012 pop track “The Wanderlust” from Metric’s biggest album, Synthetica.
∙ 2012’s “Youth Without Youth” was the first single ever to debut at No. 1 on the Canadian alternative-rock charts, and it stayed there for a record 16 weeks.
