In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Jane: Sitting on my grandparents player piano, I remember kicking the pedals so hard just to play the song. It was a two person job when you’re under 5! Matt: Year 5 concert band concert, got to do a drum solo. My folks were pretty proud.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Snail Mail, Lush Title Fight, Floral Green Jane: Lush by Snail Mail - It flipped the switch in my brain and made me wanna pursue playing the guitar. Matt: Floral Green - Title Fight. It was an amalgamation of all the sounds I needed at the time and still to this day one of my go-to records.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Matt: Playing the Tivoli for the first time alongside Bugs was the most daunting but enjoyable experiences of my life thus far.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Jane: Go on tour overseas and whilst on that tour do a KEXP session. Isaac: To fly to PA and record at least 30s of music with Will Yip Matt: Tour Japan. Hopefully with Kudaranai 1Nichi.
