Because he shared the mic in the iconic N.W.A. with the charismatic and polarizing Easy-E and future mega-stars Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, it’s easy (and more than a bit unfair) for MC Ren’s contributions to West Coast rap to get lost in the shuffle.
