Award-winning Quebec singer/songwriter Marjolène Morin, stage name Marjo, performed in a pair of musicals before joining popular rock group Corbeau in 1979. She left the group shortly thereafter to pursue a solo career, winning a Genie award for the theme song for the film La Femme Lhôtel. She released her debut album, Celle Qui Va, in 1986, followed by Tant Qu'il y Aura des Enfants (1990), Bohémienne (1995), Bootleg Blues (1998), Sans Retour (2001), and Turquoise (2005). ~ James Christopher Monger
