Although she’s better known for her collaborations with Ben Watt in Everything But the Girl, singer and guitarist Tracey Thorn began her musical career with the all-female trio, the Marine Girls. The band formed in 1980 and disbanded in ’83, but during its short tenure released two albums of minimal, intimate pop, 1982’s BEACH PARTY followed the next year by LAZY WAYS, the latter produced by Stuart Moxham of the Young Marble Giants.
