About Marcus Intalex
Artist Biography
Marcus Intalex, born Marcus Kaye, was a highly respected drum'n'bass DJ and producer based in Manchester, England. His tracks generally combined crisp, rolling breakbeats with lush, atmospheric synth pads and melodies. Kaye and Marc XTC began releasing singles as Da Intalex in 1994. Soon after, Kaye began collaborating with Lee Davenport with releases on Moving Shadow, Metalheadz, and Hospital. Kaye released the mix CD Soul:ution, Vol. 1 in 2003, began releasing 12"s as Marcus Intalex soon after, and in 2007, released a higher-profile mix CD, Fabriclive.35. The full-length 21 was released in 2011, around the time he began releasing house and techno as Trevino. The full-length Front appeared in 2016, but he remained active as Marcus Intalex until his unexpected death in 2017. ~ Paul Simpson
