Mansur Brown is a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer based in South London's Brixton district. His musical signature is a hybrid that embodies -- and often seamlessly combines --funk, ambient, neo-electro, hip-hop, jazz fusion, and rock. With future fusion outfit Triforce, he released the Triforce 5ive EP in 2016 and served as guitarist in jazz-funk outfit Yusef Kamaal on Black Focus. Triforce split after 2018's Woodshed EP, and Brown released his solo album Shiroi, later that year. Issued on Black Focus, it was produced by Henry Wu (Kamaal Williams). He followed with the Tetsuo EP in 2020, and in 2021, released three monthly singles from May through July -- "Serious/Kerene," "My Prayer," and "Flight" -- before second album Heiwa was released in September on his own Amai Records label. The six-track NAQI appeared in September 2022 and was followed by the four-cut NAQI, Vol. 2 in November.
Mansur Brown has also released music as a member of Yussef Kamaal.
