In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Marco Luponero: My mom took me to see Johnny Cash at the Helsinki Ice Hall back in '84. I was five years old. His music has been with me ever since. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Michael Jackson, Bad
Motörhead, Overnight Sensation
Nirvana, In Utero 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition
Marco Luponero: All three of them were seminal in shaping me as a songwriter and artist. They are my lone island albums. Although I would prefer to carry with me at least ten more of my most beloved albums to a lone island. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Everything/Nothing”
Marco Luponero: I think it's a great song. If I hadn't written it myself, I would've looked for the guy who wrote it and given him a hug. I could of course give myself a hug, but that would look weird. I would rather just listen to the song. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Caution: Shameless namedropping incoming! That would either have to be touring with Ryan Roxie of Alice Cooper, drinking with Lemmy or warming up for Hanoi Rocks with Terrorwheel at Helsinki's legendary Tavastia club on New Year's 2004. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
To reach as many new people as possible with Luponero's music. I believe there is a good potential listening base for the stuff we're coming out with and I just want to have the chance to reach out to as many of them as possible.
