Part singer/songwriter and part ‘70s glam revival, Lucio Corsi's musical style is not what chart-watchers in his native Italy might expect to attract audiences the most. And yet, a decade into his career, that’s exactly what happened; following a fistful of moderate sellers like Cosa faremo da grandi? (2020) and La gente che sogna (2023), the title track to Corsi's fourth album, 2025’s Volevo essere un duro, became a favorite at the country’s Sanremo Festival -- and, thanks to a surprise move by the festival’s winner -- Corsi found himself and his song representing his homeland at that year’s Eurovision Song Contest, where he came in fifth.
