Panorama City-born rapper/singer Loza Alexander went viral in 2021 with the single “Lets Go Brandon,” a pro-MAGA/anti-Biden track inspired by the internet meme turned political slogan.
In the artist’s words:
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
My favorite musical memory is finding out that one of my records went so viral that I ended up on every news channel in America. I sold over 500k records, flew to Miami to visit Mar-a-Lago to meet the President, and received a Billboard #1 [on the Emerging Artists chart].
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special.
“Owl Hunting”
“Owl Hunting” is one of my most creative records, because it had a great roll-out plan for marketing. I used AI Kendrick Lamar in the beginning, then I put the original version without AI on Apple Music to showcase my talent. It was fun creating this.”
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why?
Loza Alexander, TRIGGERED MUSIC
Loza Alexander, Lunar Music
Kendrick Lamar, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
Kendrick Lamar is one of my favorite artists and Mr. Morale is a classic, along with his others of course. I had to choose Lunar Music and TRIGGERED MUSIC because those are some of my best albums to date, as well as Sunset Music.
