About Lotte Mullan
Artist Biography
English singer and songwriter Lotte Mullan fell in love with American blues and folk and developed a unique approach to alternative Americana. At the same time, she learned the ins and outs of the music business by temping at major record labels and working as a tour manager. She wrote, recorded, and produced Plain Jane while also posting regularly to her blog. Those posts presented a maverick insider's view of the corporate music world and drew the attention of the industry itself. Mullan ended up with book, publishing, movie, and distribution deals based on her blog entries. Plain Jane was self-released in 2011, and then repackaged, reissued, and distributed by Universal. ~ Steve Leggett
