The experimental indie pop of lots of hands brings together instrumental electronic productions with bittersweet songcraft and the echoes of slowcore. After launching as a solo endeavor of Billy Woodhouse circa 2017, the project's first album, mistake, appeared in 2020. The largely instrumental, seven-track there's someone in this room just like you appeared a year later. Sometimes evoking the dreamier quality of acts like Alex G and Hovvdy, lots of hands became more song-oriented across albums like 2023's fantasy and their Fire Talk Records and duo debut (with the addition of Elliot Dryden), 2025's into a pretty room.
