Guitarist Lorenzo Micheli has performed almost worldwide, having appeared in 25 countries in Europe alone. He is active both as a solo player and in a duo configuration called SoloDuo with Matteo Mela. The year 2000 saw Micheli make his recording debut with an album of guitar works by Dionisio Aguado. Later that year, he issued a recital of music by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. Micheli and Mela formed SoloDuo in 2002. SoloDuo recorded an album of 12 sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, arranged for two guitars, in 2024. In addition to performing, Micheli is also a musicologist and an educator.

Lorenzo Micheli has also released music as a member of SoloDuo.
