Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories was August 11, 2004 when I saw Hilary Duff on her Metamorphosis tour. It changed my life. I am such a fan.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Hilary Duff, Metamorphosis Joni Mitchell, Blue St. Vincent, MASSEDUCTION Also The Reminder by Feist - each one of these albums holds a window of my life so purely - I turn them on and I’m right there where I heard them first. Healing mechanisms and time machines.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Cheerleader” "Cheerleader" is my favorite song I’ve ever made (so far). I’m so proud of it - how it feels, how it sounds, how it shows how much I’ve grown in my capacity as an artist and producer and even just my capacity as a human being to hold joy.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I have gotten to play some really amazing tours - touring with Kacey Musgraves, Lucy Dacus & Pussy Riot has truly changed my life. Getting invited into other people's worlds & being so held & celebrated while being there has been so inspiring to me.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many things - I want to keep celebrating the small wins and believing in the most impossible things as tangible. This industry is really hard but I have some grit to my belief in myself that I hope carries me through what hurts.
