About Little Joy

Artist Biography

In 2008, The Strokes' drummer Fabrizio Moretti met Los Hermanos's singer/guitarist Rodrigo Amarante, and were subsequently joined by L.A. musician Binki Shapiro. After many a late night rendezvous, the trio initiated a project called Little Joy, and with the help of Noah Georgeson, recorded their debut. Incorporating wide-ranging influences, including that of bossa nova, reggae, and calypso, the one constant mandating the band’s sound was to simply create music different from that of the members' fulltime outfits.
