Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, Lil Goat is an intense, melancholic, and gifted Southern rapper delivering cathartic, biographical tales of love, loss, doubt, and despair. 2018's deep and open "Misunderstood" was his first properly produced track to blow up and aided him in consolidating a sizable, likeminded bank of online followers. An introspective set of early 2020 singles from the same sessions -- including "Sick of Love" and "Save Me" -- culminated in the heartbreaking "Losing My Mind," which dealt with the loss of his girlfriend and unborn son to suicide. In late 2021, Lil Goat collaborated with local rapper Bachi for "Heart on Fire," a single that ultimately charted in the Billboard Global 200 and became the lead track on 2023's 21 EP. 2024 brought OKAYYY, a joint album with his Tallahassee contemporary, Ralan Styles, which featured the single "Count Up" and "Privacy."
