Artist Biography
Les Rita Mitsouko are the duo of guitarist Fred Chichin and singer Catherine Ringer, who signed to Virgin in 1982 and earned a minimalist tag from critics for their first single, "Minuit Dansant." Their eponymous debut album followed in 1984. Producer Tony Visconti helped bring out their second album, 1986's The No Comprendo, and the duo collaborated with Sparks for Marc et Robert, which was written mostly in the studio. Their eccentric recording process continued with 1993's Systeme D, which featured an elaborate recording setup on-stage at the club La Cigale. Their most prominent hit was a duet with Iggy Pop, "My Love Is Bad." ~ Bradley Torreano
