Lilting melodies and a sweet vocal tone follow Laura Stevenson's stylized folk-rock through diversions into distortion-fueled indie rock and whimsical folk. After she released her first album, A Record, in 2010, she continued to mix acoustic and rock arrangements on sets including 2013's critically lauded Wheel and 2021's John Agnello-produced Laura Stevenson, her sixth LP. Major life events such as motherhood, a breakup, and going back to school informed 2025's Late Great, a richly arranged album featuring longtime collaborator Jeff Rosenstock and again produced by Agnello.
