Laura Lynn exploded onto the Belgian music scene in 2005 with her chart-topping debut album, Dromen, and quickly established herself as perhaps the most popular Flemish pop singer of her time in the Dutch-speaking world, leading some to award her the title of Schlagerkoningin (i.e., Schlager Queen). Born Sabrina Tack on June 18, 1976, in Ardooie, a town in the Belgian province of West Flanders, Lynn released her debut single, "Je Hebt Me 1000 Maal Belogen," in 2005. The song became a tremendous hit, charting for a half-year on the Flemish singles chart and ultimately providing the foundation for her remarkably successful career. ~ Jason Birchmeier
