Blessed with a bold, powerful voice that's drawn comparisons to Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Whitney Houston, stylish gospel songstress Latice Crawford was raised in the Bronx, New York, where she developed a love for gospel music from her storefront preacher father and from her cousin, in whose choir she honed her considerable chops. Crawford became a breakout star on season two of BET's gospel competition/reality series Sunday Best, where she landed in the number three spot. It was on that show that she would meet her future husband, fellow contestant Jeff Spain, with whom she would appear on the 2012 CentricTV reality show Almost Married. Crawford released her eponymous debut album in 2014, and it went on to reach number 12 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart.
