Artist Biography
Singer K’ron landed a major label deal after going viral with hip-hop–tinged R&B songs like “Round of Applause.”
• K’ron grew up in Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. His parents turned him on to ’90s R&B and hip-hop, and by middle school, he’d begun singing for money in the cafeteria.
• As a teen, he started recording his own songs and building a following on social media.
• His 2014 debut single “Round of Applause”—the first song he ever recorded—became a viral hit. It enjoyed a resurgence on TikTok in 2020, inspiring a remix from the UK group Rounds.
• K’ron’s success led to a deal with Atlantic Records and collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Omarion, and more. His 2018 major label debut EP, Wild Lova, Vol. 1, features Ty Dolla $ign on the track “No BFs.”
