A Massachusetts-based singer/songwriter whose narrative flair is matched by her instrumental range, Kris Delmhorst has led a rich and varied career since debuting in the late '90s. Album highlights like 2008's Shotgun Singer and 2020's Long Day in the Milky Way are rooted in folk, though her amalgam of styles is more textured and nuanced. Concurrent to her solo career, Delmhorst is a respected multi-instrumentalist with a long history of collaboration in Americana, folk, and rock music, most notably as a cellist, fiddler, and vocalist. Additionally, she has worked as a producer, arranger, and film composer. She collaborates most frequently with fellow singer/songwriter and husband Jeffrey Foucault, who also appears on her albums. Delmhorst released her tenth solo album, Ghosts in the Garden, in March 2025.
