Born Laure Cohen in 1977, Koxie underwent a fast evolution in the artistic field. She studied dance, created her own artistic school, and worked as a DJ on one of France's most commercially successful radio stations, yet she gained attention primarily through plays of "Garçon" on her MySpace page. "Garçon" soon became a 2007 hit single and helped the sales of Koxie's first LP to grow dramatically, despite copyright issues that caused it to be withdrawn from the market in its initial edition. ~ Olivier Duboc
