Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being the youngest alto singer in a mass choir for Deeper Bible Church at 11. I was too short to stand so I stood on a step stool and my turban and blouse were too big for me but I wore it with the pride of a thousand lions.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Shakira, Shakira. I love Shakira. The uniqueness in her style makes me realize I can be completely me.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Big Korra” I was in a dark place, berated betrayed and lied on. This song dug my strength out of my core and helped me fight.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing at the Burj Al Arab. Dubai. I danced and sang at the same time. It was iconic.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have never toured. I want to tour, sharing my sound to all nations.
