Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory was playing Here Comes the Sun on my dad’s record player while he was out. The sun was streaming through the window and it made me happy.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lou Reed, Transformer Nick Drake, Five Leaves Left (Remastered) Super Furry Animals, Radiator ‘Radiator’ doesn't rest in one genre. The playfulness, feels like it comes from the heart, not head ‘Five Leaves Left’ lyrics, voice are free, Nick wrote without thinking about audience 'Transformer’ foremost is poetry, also bashful and controversial
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Needles (feat. The Leisure Society)” I wrote Needles for mum. When she lost sight in an eye, doctors discovered a tumour. Her friends stopped visiting her after the operation. She was generous with her time, but let down, a force of nature, reduced to a wheelchair and taken by covid.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? A two week support tour with Tom Robinson who chose Kitten Pyramid from the thousands of bands he has championed over his career on 6Music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To play on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury! Imagine. Kitten Pyramid on the Pyramid...
