In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. We played our first gig for half a case of beer. Our second gig, we demanded more compensation, so we got a full case of beer. We were packing this place. We had people from a holy roller church protesting out front with signs. It was insane!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Dueting with Lucinda Williams on the "Down to the Well" song and having my songs covered by Keith Richards, Levon Helm, Todd Snider (Hard-Working Americans) and Irma Thomas.
