In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being a little girl dancing to Parliament Funkadelic at a music festival in Colorado with my parents!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kelly Green, Life Rearranged This is my first album and I am very happy with all aspects of the album as a whole. I recommend listening on a commute or long drive!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nature's Suite : Morning, Noon & Night (feat. Ben Sutin, Akua Dixon & Luca Soul Rosenfeld)” I wrote this 3 part suite after going on a camping trip and meditating by a river. Mother Nature is to be celebrated and revered and I wanted to exemplify that in this piece. Each section is written for a different time of day.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments for me as been performing at the Kennedy Center for the DC Jazz Festival to celebrate the centennial of the great Nat King Cole with my trio.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As an artists my bucket list includes performing on NPR tiny desk, performing at Newport Jazz Festival, and playing at the Village Vanguard in NYC.
