In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I recall constantly being in awe of Micheal Jackson's "This Is It" Tour. We had it on DVD - I'd watch it almost every evening for a period of time. I'm sure the disc has scratches all over it now. That man inspires me even now. A phenomenal musician.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daniel Caesar, Freudian Frank Ocean, Blonde Smino, blkswn These albums carry some of my experiences behind them. I discovered Frank and Daniel in 2018, and Smino in 2019. During the pandemic was when I was really tapped into these albums - from the melodies to the song structure, to subject matter. So fly.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Blues (The Feel'uh)” If trusting the process was a song, it would definitely be this one. I didn't think too much about anything - especially the execution. This is probably the freest I've felt on a song, more especially because it was far out of my comfort zone.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I love every moment of it, but right now is the greatest moment ever. I'd say the same thing tomorrow and, in a year, as well. I love on my people because they love on me, daily. Gratitude grounds me; everyday is a blessing.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Being better than I was yesterday and reaching my God-given potential. When I win a Grammy, no one should be shocked. I'm telling you all now to avoid anyone fainting from disbelief for real. I'm definitely God's favorite.
