Kashus Culpepper is a country singer/songwriter from Alabama whose sound is drenched in Southern music as it is informed by and umbrellas blues, soul, gospel, and folk. His unvarnished singing, back-to-basics recording, and production styles disguise his sophistication as a vocalist and songwriter. After a stint in the Navy -- where he nurtured his gifts playing bonfires for fellow recruits -- he began playing originals and covers in dive bars and small clubs across the South five nights a week. After moving to Nashville --where he was warmly welcomed by fellow musicians, he got a showcase gig at the Grand Ole Opry and was signed by Mercury/Republic's Big Loud Records imprint. In 2024, he released four singles including "After Me" and "Pour Me Out."
