Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 15, I discovered Neil Young's album Decade in my mother's Cd collection. I didn't know anything about him but I recognized one song title. I listened to that song and then the rest of the album. It blew my mind and changed my life.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Neil Young, Comes a Time Incredible album from beginning to end. Neil at his peak with so many great songs. This is my vocal warmup album I use before shows since the songs are sung softly and I can sing every word. Highly recommend checking it out!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Like We Used To Do” This song has a slightly different sound, compared to the others, that I really like. I think the synth melody contributes to that. The female background vocals really make the chorus pop and I just like how the overall story and lyrics turned out.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Without a doubt when I opened for Gregg Allman at the Pearl Theater in Las Vegas in 2014. It was the biggest moment of my career and I was on fire. The crowd was receptive to the music and I got to meet and hang out with Gregg after the show.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to meet and play with Neil Young. He's been my biggest inspiration and I'd like to show him some of my songs and thank him for all of the beauty his music has brought me over the years.
