Artist Biography
California-based alt-electronic outfit Julien-K deliver digitally distorted, high-octane synth rock that pulls from goth, synth pop, and industrial alike. Emerging from the ashes of Orgy, founding members Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck continued with a sound familiar to any fan of their former group. Ominous, dark, and a little sexy, their earliest material arrived in 2003, while their official debut album, Death to Analog, landed in 2009. The band's sophomore LP, We're Here with You, arrived in 2012. Relying on successful crowdfunding, Julien-K released the two-part California Noir series in 2014 and 2015, and delivered their fifth set, Harmonic Disruptor, in 2020.
