Enigmatic French chill-hop producer j’san has reached millions with his dreamy instrumentals and sample-accented tracks.
• His father bought him his first guitar when he was six years old and taught him to play. Despite his long history with music, j’san didn’t begin producing until 2016.
• In addition to digital tools, he uses guitar, bass, and keyboards to create his songs.
• In 2018, he collaborated with fellow chill-hop producer Pandrezz on “sunny,” a cover of the 1966 soul-jazz classic by Bobby Hebb. The track has amassed more than 34 million streams.
