Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Twas during my father's 42nd birthday, I was only 13 years old & was only playing the guitar, I suddenly found the courage to sing in front of everyone! I still remember the positive reactions I got from them–that was the first time I sang in public.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Sinatra, Standing Room Only (Live) Jamie Cullum, Twentysomething (Special Edition) These 3 albums have impacted me personally to pursue my music career. There is so much attitude and beauty in the style and the way they make music. They showed me the way to make jazz “cool”.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Love Is You” This serves as an intro to JOSE MIGUEL and the music that I put out—a mix of both Jazz and modern sounds. It sets the tone for the album.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I believe there will be moments that I must seek to unlock. Although for the meantime, I would say that creating this album was an absolute trip. From songwriting to recording production. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my team.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd like to have the opportunity to perform in front of a wider audience and to produce more records in the years to come. Also if there's a chance to travel and perform for those who have or haven’t heard my music yet that would be on the list.
