In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My grandma recalls me trying to make a drum set at the early age of 3, while I remember my first interaction in music was watching a pianist I knew play, and me ultimately deciding, I want to play and create something.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Immortal Technique, Revolutionary, Vol. 2 Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly Ryuichi Sakamoto, Ryuichi Sakamoto (Music For Film) I love storytelling, both lyrically and musically. What made these albums so damn good, was the storytelling, musicality, history and knowledge behind every song. These three albums alone tell stories that embellish the being of the artists involved.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “HEALIN' MYSELF” This song was therapeutic ya feel me, I wrote this being grateful for how far I came and with those who traveled with me through this journey. Life, for me was difficult but the reward of resilience goes crazy.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for SABA, I realized that this is what I want to do, perform, engage and provide music that relates to the world I'm in.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are 1000s of things left for me to do, I think at the forefront is a music school back in my hood. I think being successful in this industry will allow me to help my community and provide opportunities in South Stockton.
