Latin trap and reggaetón singer/rapper Jon Z made his first freestyle videos in 2014, leading to a record deal with award-winning producer Boy Wonder (aka Chosen Few).
∙ The Puerto Rican artist’s 2015 debut, The Game Is About to Change, established his signature style of layering quirky raps over a blend of reggaetón, trap, and hip-hop.
∙ With his eight-minute-long 2017 track, “Super Jon-Z (Residente Challenge),” he beat rapper Residente’s record for most words performed by an artist in one hip-hop song—2,109.
∙ Jon Z and his cousin, trap singer Ele a el Dominio, teamed up on 2018’s Super Saiyan Flow, which peaked at No. 13 on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Albums chart.
