Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up in church hearing all the old gospel songs, you could always feel the message of the songs through the passion of the vocalists. Their testimonies rang through every lyric and every melody. This is where I developed my passion for music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Israel & New Breed, Alive in South Africa (Live) Whitney Houston, The Preacher's Wife (Original Soundtrack Album) (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture) - Whitney Houston is my all-time favorite! I love this album because it's full of songs about the Lord - Alive In South Africa impacted my personal worship and also the way I lead - For All You've Done led to my first encounter with the Holy Spirit
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Strip It All Away” This song is from a time when I was weak, overwhelmed & had no clue what to do. The Lord said “You feel this way because you’re doing a lot FOR me and not a lot WITH me”. I immediately sang this song to Him & it brought my heart back into alignment.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? This is a tough one! I’ve had so many memorable moments but leading worship for a crusade in Zimbabwe was epic. To see 10’s of thousands of hungry people in one place pursuing Jesus….there’s nothing like it.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to write a song with Brooke Ligertwood. I’d love to sing a duet with Darlene Zschech I’d love to feature Nicole Binion on a live album
