About John The Blind
As John the Blind, singer, songwriter, and producer John Ryan makes soulful electronic and indie pop featuring a mix of earnest atmospheres and enlivening beats. Before releasing his debut EP, John the Blind, in 2019, he was well-established as a songwriter and producer for artists such as One Direction, Jason Derulo, and Rita Ora, including work on One Direction's final four albums. Straddling EDM and singer/songwriter pop, his first solo album, isolation, appeared in 2021. He went on to write and produce for the likes of Olivia Dean, Teddy Swims, and Sabrina Carpenter (including co-producing Album of the Year Grammy nominee Man's Best Friend with Jack Antonoff) before returning with his third EP, the more guitar-oriented Indicator, in 2026.
