Jimmy Osmond spent the majority of his life in the entertainment industry. In the '70s he was best known as "Little Jimmy Osmond", the youngest member of the Osmonds, a group of musical siblings responsible for hit songs throughout the '60s and '70s. Osmond also held the Guinness World Record as the youngest musician to score a number one single in the U.K. charts, with the song "Long Haired Lover from Liverpool" in 1972; he was only five years old. After a number of well-received songs -- both as part of the Osmonds and as a solo artist -- in the U.K., Jimmy found fame in Japan, where he became a sensation in his own right; Japanese fans affectionately referred to him as "Jimmy Boy." As his musical career waned, Jimmy positioned himself as an entrepreneur, and president of his own company, Osmonds Entertainment, which handled the majority of the Osmond family's merchandising. On the Osmonds' 2012 album, I Can't Get There Without You, Jimmy performed lead vocals for the first time in the group's history, a testament to his success within the Osmond clan. In 2016 -- marking his 50th anniversary in the entertainment industry -- he performed a live tour held in honor of the late singer/songwriter Andy Williams. The Moon River & Me tour was performed worldwide, and featured Osmond singing a number of Williams' classic songs, including the titular track. A live recording was later released on CD via Osmonds Entertainment. ~ Liam Martin
