About Jewels
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was in the first grade, we had a show, and my class sang "Hands up" by Ottawan. There was slight choreography and some lead roles. I remember feeling excited and happy to show my family my hidden talents that my teachers spoke so highly of.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beyoncé, RENAISSANCE Kehlani, You Should Be Here The Weeknd, Starboy Each album played a huge role in transitioning to my greater self. These albums have helped me during my healing journey after break ups and failed attempts at pursuing entrepreneurship. I reclaimed my confidence and regained momentum.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Let You Go” When I wrote "Let You Go", I was at my peak in a toxic relationship. This song made me realize that I had to get out and seek freedom. It was a reminder for me that I deserve better. It is a reassuring song for me, that I made the right decision.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2019 I signed my first record deal with MVB Records. I did several photo shoots, a music video, got to network with talented engineers, and even got to collab with Trabass. I also learned how important financial literacy is in this industry.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My next step is to establish myself as a songwriter and continue dropping projects. I look forward to collaborating with artists this year, expanding my brand and catch the attention of a bigger audience. Music is a lifestyle; I will never stop.
