In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I saw my first rock concert at the age of four - Kiss at Madison Square Garden. It's one of my earliest memories... I still remember a guy on the train wearing Peter Criss makeup OVER his beard.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? King Crimson, Discipline (Expanded Edition) Kiss, Destroyer (2012 Remaster) The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band These three albums found me at formative moments and they'll never get old or stale to me.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Bowery Electric (feat. Tommy Ramone, Daniel Rey, Marky Ramone & CJ Ramone)” I wrote this song in tribute to Joey Ramone when he passed away and the surviving Ramones got together to record it. They let me sing for some reason. The Ramones are my all-time favorite band and I still can't believe this happened.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? So many... working on a couple of albums with Juliana Hatfield; recording with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio; tracking in Studio Three at EastWest; shepherding the first Hand Habits record; compiling an album of unreleased Jobriath tunes...
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? For an outsider, I've been lucky to walk through many exclusive spaces - I don't know whether that makes me more of a Dante or a Forrest Gump. But I still have my own story to tell, plenty of music left in me, and I plan to chase it until the end.
