In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I must have been 4 or 5 years old - my parents and I listened together to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles. I can recall "learning" the lyrics and singing along, and the immense joy and warmth it gave me. I've never looked back! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Boards of Canada, Music Has the Right to Children
Burial, Untrue
Mogwai, Young Team
I got into these albums during my teenage years and they've been with me ever since. All three records provide a deep and introspective universe for the listener to lose themselves in. I love the production and composition on all three. Magnificent! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Distant”
I wrote 'Distant' to help raise funds for people affected by the LA wildfires in 2025. I felt that successfully struck the balance between mournful drone textures and hopeful ambience. I'm really happy with the overall production of this song. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Easy: back in 2021 I was fortunate enough to have Mogwai - one of my favourite ever bands - remix one of my (at the time) band's songs. The kind of moment dreams are made of. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
To continue improving as a musician and evolving my approaches whilst retaining 'my' sound at the same time. Never sitting still or getting too comfortable.
