About Jackson C. Frank
Artist Biography
Buffalo-born Jackson C. Frank left the upstate New York mid-'60s folk scene for London, where his intricate guitar style, poetic lyrics, and artsong-influenced compositions took the town by storm. His lone 1965 album, produced by Paul Simon, became a staple of the British folk scene. His songs were covered by everyone from Nick Drake to Sandy Denny, but a variety of troubles beset Frank in the following years, and he never made another album before his death in 1999.
