About Jackmaster
Artist Biography
Jackmaster (Jack Revill) was a Glasgow-based DJ and producer known for his eclectic mix sessions as well as for co-founding the label and club night Numbers. While his name clearly referenced Chicago house pioneer Farley Jackmaster Funk, he didn't confine his DJ sets or original tracks to one style or scene, spanning Detroit techno, U.K. garage/dubstep, minimal techno, disco/funk, and anything else that moves the crowd. He released two well-regarded mix CDs, Fabriclive 57 (2011) and DJ-Kicks (2016). Jackmaster issued his own productions during the early 2020s, including the Skream collaboration "The Attention Deficit Track" (2022) and "Don't You Want My Lovin'" (2024).
